Perfect microphone.

The microphone spec. was ideal for my remote group jam sessions on Skype and Zoom. The microphone on my laptop just couldn't cope with the music side of things. The SC 425 comes in a hard case with pre-formed foam padding, so great for safe transporting. It takes just a few minutes to put together, the 2m cable plugs into the computer and requires no driver installation. It's so simple. Ordering was very straight forward, and it was shipped within a day. Text messages kept me informed of the delivery progress, as has happened with all Thomann products that I have ordered in the past. Very efficient and friendly staff. Thanks for the great service.

Awesome value for money

Performs awesomely, great condenser "hears" everything, haven't noticed any voice color.
Using it with very strong noise reduction in a completely untreated room, mainly for voice comms and beatboxing.

The accessories it comes with complete it, and I don't need anything else for it, at all, it's all there and I can't believe I only paid this much for a complete set of this quality. Sturdy everything on a heavy base.

The only two complaints for me are:
- the permanent blue LED on the membrane, but once I installed the supplied windshield it's largely not visible anymore
- the mute button is mechanical, so vibrations from pressing it are present in the audio stream, but it's not a big deal since I use software mute, and I sample and cut my beatbox.

top notch - einfach klasse Mikro für Sprache

Einfach ein klasse Mikro.
Der Fuß, der Ständer und die Spinne sind aus Eisen und das Mikro steht wie eine Eins bzw. hängt perfekt in seiner Halterung. Der Schwanenhals mit dem Filter ist auch gut.

Sound: hier kommt die Qualität - kein Rauschen, wirklich KEIN Rauschen (ich muss es groß schreiben). Ich nutze das Mikro zum Einsprechen von Lehrvideos, Software-Doku und ähnliches und meine Stimme kommt einfach gut damit rüber. Ein Schmeichler und meine Kollegen fragen mich, wo ich so Sprechen gelernt habe - das Mikro trägt seinen Teil dazu bei.

Negativ: der Mute-Button ist unbrauchbar. Wie jemand hier schon schrieb, das Auslösen von 'mute' erzeugt einen lauten Plopp. Hätte ich Live-Zuhörer, würden die das voll auf die Ohren kriegen, in Videos nutze ich das nicht oder könnte das rausschneiden. Aber für den Live-Einsatz oder beim Podcast ist das einfach Mist. Da würde das 420er reichen mit der gleichen Technik.

Aber sei's drum, ich würde diese Mikro jederzeit wieder kaufen, die Soundqualität und die Standhaftigkeit sind Spitzenklasse.
