It sounds exceptionally good. But...

Firstly, I would say this mic is the best vocal mic that I have ever owned.
I owned Shure beta58a, Share SM7DB, ATH AT4050. For sure this mic give me the most satisfaction, it's warm, full and presence.
The problem is that when I received my mic, I observed there is some small clicky sound inside the mic body.
It sounds like some small part has been apart from the circuit board.
I am not sure if this is a defect or a normal phenomenon, but for me, I get a bit nervous of the build quality.
Now working with the engineers for checking, hope it helps.
After all, I will still recommend this mic considering the price and sound quality.

Ohne EQ ein wenig "bedeckt", sonst super

Ich nutze das Mikro primär für Voice Overs in einem halbwegs akustisch gescheit "optimierten" Aufnahmeraum. Im Vergleich zu einem Sennheiser MKH416 (das zugegebenermaßen sehr stark betonte Höhen hat, aber dennoch sehr ausgewogen klingt und mein bisheriges Primärmikro war...) oder einem Neumann TLM 103 klingt es pur - ohne EQ - recht bedeckt - so als läge eine Decke über dem Mikro, was mich erst einmal sehr enttäuscht hat. Ich verwende ein UA Apollo Twin USB Interface und den Neve 1073 + EQ Channelstrip. Wenn ich hier eine leichte Anhebung beim Hi Shelf (liegt fest bei 12 kHz) und ein klitzeklein wenig bei 7,2 kHz fahre, klingt es wieder sehr luftig und klar in den Höhen. An anderen Frequenzen muss ich nicht rumschrauben - es klingt insgesamt sehr schön warm und rund. Was auch sehr schön ist: Es ist recht gnädig, was die ungewollte Aufnahme von Raumresonanzen angeht. Auch wenn - wie ich schon schrieb - mein Raum eigentlich ganz brauchbar klingt - höre ich bei anderen Großmembranern deutlich mehr unerwünschte Rauminformation. Haptik des Mikros und der Spinne sind super! Eigentlich müsste ich noch einen Punkt abziehen für die Feststellschraube. Alles ist aus Metall, nur diese Schraube nicht, die am meisten belastet wird. Unverständlich, wie man hieran sparen kann...

Un très bon micro

Je viens de vendre mon Tlm 102 pour partir sur celui ci.
j'utilise ce micro pour la prise de voix rap.
Alors, si je le compare au Tlm, il y a des choses mieux sur celui ci:
Il fait ressortir la voix et apporte plus de présence dans les médiums et les aigus, mais sans être agréssif, il est précis et la voix se place parfaitement dans le mix.
Les moins comparé au TLM 102: Il est bien plus sensible, je dois augmenter le gate afin que les bruits de fond ne soient pas captés, et ce que je trouve dommage, c'est que sur une parole un peu nasillarde, ou un mot un peu mal prononcé, il met le défaut vraiment en avant alors que sur le tlm, on n'entend pas le défaut ou très peu.
Cela dit, je préfère le rendu de la voix de ce micro au tlm 102.
Je me demande si je n'aurai pas dû tout simplement partir sur un tlm 103 qui je pense serait entre le 102 et ce micro...
Niveau qualité, il n'y a rien à dire, on le sort de la boite, il est magnifique, il pèse son poids, il est énorme, la suspension est vraiment de très bonne qualité, la boite est magnifique aussi.
On ne nous vole pas sur le tarif, ça, c'est certain.
Concernant mon avis, c'est sur une voix rap assez puissante que j'ai fait le test, pour le chant, il doit être magique.
