Shure SM7B tldr

The Shure SM7B is a fantastic microphone. When setup properly this thing produces crisp, clean, professional audio with the lowest of noise floors; even in less than ideal conditions.

You don’t necessarily need a cloudlifter at all. I just recorded a podcast and had a cloudlifter on only one mic. Turned up the gain on the other and it was fine. I like the cloudlifter, and will probably buy a second at some point, but it’s not a necessity. Give it a try and if you need the cloudlifter, get it later.

SM7 entrega um som pronto, com personalidade, calor e energia. Recomendo muito esse microfone.

Dica: use com um bom pré-amplificador, pois ele precisa de bastante energia. Um pré-amp ruim pode soar com muito ruído. Eu acabei comprando um cloudlifter para amenizar o ruído e percebi que o som do microfone melhorou mais ainda.

Best budget microphone out there!

I got this last week to complement my small budget home studio. It's the best microphone I've owned so far, really fits the purpose. The construction is solid, and it sounds really really well. The quality is one of the best I've heard for a studio like mine, which has no acoustic treatment.
