in my opinion the best 5 string uner 1000 euros . with really good balance across the fingerboard and great sounf from those 2 MEC pickups . It came with a really high setup that i had to change and with warwick strings which sounded like crap for my likings . It was like they were already dead . But after a good Setup it is wonderfull bass visually and the sound

Warwick Corvette $$ 5 vs. Chapman MLB-5

Ich wollte mir einen 5-Saiter mit zwei Humbuckern zulegen, der preislich unter 1000 Euro liegen aber auch kein Einsteigerbass sein sollte. Bei Thomann vor Ort (übrigens vielen Dank an die sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten MitarbeiterInnen :)) habe ich dann den Warwick Corvette $$ 5 und den Chapman MLB-5 angetestet, da dieser von den Specs ähnlich war. Zwar mochte ich das Neck-through-Design des Chapmans, war jedoch nach dem ersten Anspielen des Warwicks quasi "gezwungen" diesen zu kaufen, da der Sound einfach um einiges besser als der Chapman war. Der 5-Saiter hat den typischen "Warwick Growl", lässt sich super leicht bespielen und ist top verarbeitet - trotz "made in China". Wer nicht mehr als 1000 Euro ausgeben möchte, einen sehr gut verarbeiteten 5-Saiter mit Humbuckern und top Sound haben möchte, dem kann ich den Warwick nur empfehlen!
