Great sounds for a good price

Based on the Motif XS sound bank, there's a great range of over 1000 instruments to try out. There isn't sampling on the MX and there are fewer real time controllers compared to a Motif, but for the price you get some great sounds, a good design (compact, lightweight and portable with the optional Yamaha gig bag) and good value for money. I've hooked up this to my 17 year old Clavinova via MIDI and plugged the MX audio output into my Clavinova to bring in some really sweet piano sounds out if an ageing digital piano. I contacted Thomann as I live in the UK and they got back quickly to advise that they provide a UK adaptor for no additional cost. Based on previous purchases with them, I placed the order with the synths arriving under one week later - only issue being parcel tracking failing after parcel force took over the courier service in the UK from DHL. All in all a happy customer!

Great piece of equipment for little money

I bought the MX49 v2 to replace another midi controller, and to have those rich Motif sounds ready to use in my DAW. In my opinion there's a fine balance in the quality/pricerange ratio. The MX49 is not built as sturdy as other synths, but on the other hand it's extremely lightweight. I am very satisfied with the quality of the sounds, the performances and the built in effects. Good value for your hard earned musician money!

After 8 months of waiting due to shortage I finally have this marvel next to my bed. I loved everything on this. From sound, keys, buttons color.

Best keyboard for my band

We were looking for a small, light weight keyboard with a variety of sounds. The MX-49 was far more than we expected in the price range. Don't hesitate, give in to the gear acquision sickness and buy one today.
