These beaters/mallets are well worth the money for what you pay for them from the stick material down to the soft heads,they are great for cymbal rolls etc.

I love these.

They are so soft sounding and gentle on the cymbals yet give you that power when used on the drums themselves.

The sticks are made from a denser, darker wood, similar or probably even mahogany and feel very sturdy, while the mallets themselves are very bouncy and covered with the soft material that dampens them very nicely.

The sticks have good rebound, however they are top heavy because of the mallets so they feel very different in terms of weight balance when compared to your average drum sticks.

The sound they produce is rich, yet smooth, dampened and soft at the same time. They are great!
