Babicz FCH 3-Point 4 String Bass C

I purchased the Babicz Full Contact bridge for my Gibson SG bass as a direct replacement. It fitted perfectly. However, when restringing the guitar the bridge started lift up as the tautness of the strings tilted the bridge. This was due to the change in leverage made by the extended length of the bridge beyond the anchor points fixed in the guitar body. These original brass inserts were a friction fit and in my Bass they were not really a tight fit. However, I took the guitar to my local luthier, which just happens to be my brother. After some thought and discussing over coffee, we decided to epoxy resin the brass inserts back into the guitar body. After 24 hours we refitted the Babicz bridge and restrung the Bass with new strings and Hey Presto, one Thunderous Bass was born.
The moral of the story is to ensure all modifications are carried out by a Professional luthier.

I finally replaced the carbuncle of a 3 three point bridge on my Gibson Thunderbird with this bridge, having previously tried a Hipshot Supertone. This Babicz is light years ahead of the Hipshot in design and quality, it just drops straight in, set your preferred action and intonation, lock the saddles into place and away you go. Your old 3 point bridge will just be a bad memory, no more crawling around searching for your saddle after an on stage string break.

Léger et costaud, il offre un full contact avec le corps de la basse et s'applique exactement / parfaitement aux 3 trous de vis de l'emplacement du chevalet d'origine.
Et c'est le jour et la nuit!
Ma basse Gibson sonne maintenant de façon uniforme et nickel grâce au réglage micro-poil et individuel de chaque corde (hauteur et intonation), ce que ne permet pas le chevalet Gibson: réglage approximatif des 3 vis de la pièce complète.
Le Babicz permet aussi de bloquer et de garder chaque réglage de hauteur et d'intonation par corde (lors de nettoyage ou de changement de cordes, par exemple), ce qui change des sillets flottants et mobiles du chevalet Gibson: bougez une corde et vous devez refaire tout le réglage...
Dernière et importante observation: la partie embobinée (métal ou fil, juste après la boule/tête métallique) de chaque corde ne repose plus (en partie ou non) sur le sillet du chevalet (encore un bémol pour la pièce Gibson!) et ceci a un impact direct sur la qualité et justesse du son et de l'intonation de vos cordes jouées.
Bref, ce Bridge Babicz (ou équivalent Hipshot) devrait être le modèle monté systématiquement sur toute guitare ou basse Gibson!
