It makes your snare phat!

I use this on my main 14" snare. It instantly gives a fat vintage sound with no overtones and adds a tiny jingle to the backbeat. This gives an easily achievable vintage funk sound which is fairly popular now in pop music, so this will be a good tool to have for any recording sessions you might have.

I can't think of real downsides to this as it does exactly what its designed to do perfectly, its fairly cost effective, and there is no issues taking it to gigs and sessions as I sit all my BFSD heads on my snares while in the cases.

Really love this thing. It's not for all use, but for a quick change to an unusual snare drum sound it's amazing. It's quite costly for what it is, but that's the only downside.
