The Philip Cobb B & S 3137-PCL

I have played B & S horns for over 15 years now. Mainly the 3138 Elaboration. I am the Music Director/ Trumpet for the NFL LAS VEGAS RAIDERS. Most of my playing is lead and commercial. The Phillip Cobb PCL completely surprised me!! I wanted to try it and it did not disappoint. I prefer the lightweight horns but surprisingly I’m still able to scream in the upper register even though this is a heavier gage. The open leadpipe make all the difference. Such a gorgeous open sound!!! I absolutely recommend this trumpet. All of B & S horns have impeccable craftsmanship and quality. The PCL is a great addition to the B & S trumpet line!!!

Super Instrument - klare Empfehlung

Seit ca. 2 Monaten spiele ich nun dieses Instrument - als Hobbymusiker im sinfonischen Blasorchester und auch als Solist. So langsam weicht die „erste Verliebtheit“ einem klaren Blick. Und was soll ich sagen: jedenfalls nichts schlechtes. Das Instrument funktioniert einwandfrei, ist leicht zu spielen (hervorragende Ansprache) und ermöglicht viele Klangfarben. Gute Entscheidung!

Zwei kleine Einschränkungen: Die Versilberung ist an 1-2 Stellen nicht zu 100 Prozent gleichmäßig, aber das ist nur ein kleiner Schönheitsfehler - nicht weiter schlimm.
Und das mitgelieferte Mundstück sitzt in kaltem Zustand nicht ganz fest und klappert - aber da ich meist andere Mundstücke nutze, ist auch das nicht tragisch.

Alles in allem: klare Kaufempfehlung!
