Best guitar so far!
szpakjohnson 07.07.2025
Honestly, I had some serious doubts before buying. As most know, Gibson isn’t exactly famous for consistent quality control—even their Custom Shop guitars can have some pretty nasty issues. But in this case, it was nothing but a positive experience.

The build quality is absolutely flawless. The light aging from the Murphy Lab is executed beautifully—it looks authentic and tasteful. And the tone? It just blows you away. Warm, rich, incredibly resonant and very loud—this is the kind of guitar that inspires you the moment you start playing.

Until now, my number one guitar was a 1957 SJ-200 VOS, but ever since the Hummingbird arrived, the SJ-200 has been sitting in its case. The Hummingbird completely stole the spotlight—it’s an incredible instrument that’s hard to put down.

The only downside I can point out is the quality of the case. At this price point, Gibson could’ve done a better job there. But honestly, the guitar itself more than makes up for it.
