Harley Benton Amarok-6 BKRD Quilted Burst

This is my second Harley Benton guitar, already have an EX84 EMG VW, and with both guitars the experience was incredible.

The guitar is a real beauty alive, much better than the pictures in my opinion. The only flaws I was able to find:

- A little (almost imperceptible) roughness on the finish of the headstock (when passing my fingers between the red and nude finish)
- A little obscure tone part on one of the pieces of Maple in the necktroug neck, but nothing to worry about it.

And that is me just being perfectionist, because the guitar is a beauty and none of them changes anything on the sound or playability of the instrument (that are great).

The fretwork is flawless, even the setup was very good, I didn't touch anything since I received the guitar a pair of weeks ago, so I I can say the QC from Thomann/Harley Benton is improved, great work guys.

The blocking tuners are very good (much better than the ones on my EX-84) and they keep the tuning super stable (even after a long session full of bendings). The nut is cut perfectly and also helps with the stability of the tuning.

The pickups are different from my usual EMG 81/60 but are very good too, is nice to have a different tone on this guitar, and I can say that this guitar was born for metal, but I was able to hear nice tones on other genres also.

It have a great sustain, the neck through should help with that.

Is not a heavy guitar, didn't notice any neckdiving (as I seen on youtube reviews), the pickup switch is diagonal so it's very confortable (I think older versions where perpendicular to the strings) and all the hardware seems to be great quality, I'm loving the confort provided by the hardtail of this guitar.

The playability and the sound of this guitar are flawless, great tone, easy to reach every single inch of the neck, very confortable to play standing or sitting.

And I think I already said that is a beauty, and yes, I know the most important part is if it's sounds and plays well (which is the case), but I think each one of us will feel better playing a great guitar that also looks like a beast, this one in my opinion gives you all this.

I was very skeptical order this one at first, seeing alot of negative reviews and people saying that QC is awful and they have received defect units.
I decided to take the gamble anyway and I'm super happy about it!
The guitar came almost perfectly in tune, intonated, and had an average action height (which is what you would expect when getting a new guitar).
I checked for any major flaws as some YouTube videos suggest but couldn't find anything - the finish was perfect, the nut was cut and installed correctly, the frets don't have any sharp frets, and it feels wonderful to play!
Some things to consider:
1. The 3-way switch is vertical for some reason, but it's an easy fix (just open the cavity and rotate it)
2. The pickups are SUPER loud, and I mean it. Tried setting their height a-bit lower and it did help, but not by much.
3. The volume knob feels stiff, as if it's rubbing against the wood
4. Something about the input jack feels off. I have to push the cable in really hard, never had that in previous guitars.

Overall, it looks great, it plays great, and I highly recommend getting this guitar!
