    I actually didn't get this for a Höfner. I got it for an old Eko. It's not identical to the original truss rod cover but it's a nice fit and it was the closest one I could find. I guess I could have made something closer from some pickguard scraps but I figured this one would be close enough for very little money. It's not like old Eko guitars are worth a lot of money and I'd rather save some time and just drill new holes for this one.

    I'm very happy with the result. Very good quality!

    Before writing this review I compared the size of this truss rod cover to the ones on my German '61 Violin and my Contemporary series President bass. Both were exactly the same size so I'm sure this cover will be a perfect fit for both German Höfners and Contemporary series instruments. I have no idea about the cheaper Ignition series though, their dimensions tend to vary a bit from other Höfners so I wouldn't assume this truss rod cover to be a perfect fit. Ask before you buy!

    Fitted to a Hofner Ignition Bass

    Bought to replace the cover on my Ignition bass. Looks much better without having any writing on it. Hofners traditionally don’t have anything in the truss rod cover. Had to drill a couple of new pilot holes but very simple to do and original holes are completely covered by the new item.
