Istanbul Agop 19" Xist Dry Dark Brill. Crash

La cymbale est assez légère ce qui est agréable car elle peu avoir plusieurs niveau d'explosion en la jouant finement ou en la jouant fort.
Une explosion avec un son très moderne et actuel qu'on peu retrouver dans le jazz et le gospel d'aujourd'hui. Le sustain est court ce qui est super aussi car elle ne casse pas la tête. Je l'ai couplé avec une Zildjian K efx de 16' et le combo est merveilleux. Si vous chercher un son actuel c'est vraiment la qu'il faut fouiner. Je stipule aussi qu'on peu aussi la jouer comme une ride tellement elle répond bien. Biensur ce n'est pas son utilisation première, mais elle se défend.
Istanbul agop fait très fort car pour l'instant il me semble que ce sont les seuls à proposer ce genre de cymbale gondoler.

Easily became my main and favourite crash, I have been looking for a cymbal with these particular qualities for a long time. Although it is quite large in diameter, it is very thin and relatively light, therefore it crashes great. The finish is also special, something in between matte brilliant with some raw patches, it looks wonderful. But, what really makes this crash stand out of the crowd is the way it sounds. Explosive, crisp, full and subtle at the same time, smooth, dark and trashy, with a very fast decay. Used with mallets it gives you a very "dramatic" sound, it swells fast and then rapidly decays. As a general conclusion, although it is definitely a crash from the dark spectrum, I find it extremely versatile; it can be used for sure in any kind of musical genres. I like it a bit more than a similar sized crash from the Dark Dry series, it surely has more smoothness and character. Thinking about also buying the 21".
