Sadly this was defective from the factory. Suspect manufacturing quality issues related to the signal input or preamp. Research online regarding known issues and have a suspicion that the tubes are not being biased at factory, the quality of circuit build may be poor and the noise likely indicates a poor earth somewhere on the pre-amp or input to the pre-amp. Low output and noisy signal, including the effects loop, Marshall not very interested, but Thomann customer support have been pretty good, although feedback due to return under warranty could be quicker as no idea if it can be repaired or what the quality of the repair might be or when I might see it again.
For an amp that's had a guitar plugged into it twice, I'd prefer a replacement and I'm now suspicious of what else might be lurking inside the cabinet. Advice - check it as soon as you receive it, if it doesn't sound right send back ASAP for replacement otherwise it will be a warranty repair. I'm hoping the repair tech will spot any other manufacturing horrors and properly bias the tubes, which may result in a usable amp.
Return process was simple customer support made it easy to return.
Can't really comment on the features as not been able to use it.
Handling. It's really heavy, but Thomann made sending it back simple.
Quality-utter garbage from what I've seen. It's not difficult to build simple circuits. Should never have got out of the factory.
Sound. Again utter garbage. Totally unusable.
For the price, this should be an absolute monster, but not a complete nightmare.
