Perfect headless bag (GOC)
Big Rossowski 25.06.2023
I previously sent back the Rockbag because it just didn't quite fit my GOC Materia.

Now that I have this one, not only does it fit like a glove - it's just perfect. The material feels ultra fine, the quality of the zippers and compartment is outstanding. Highly recommended!

...and Ibby Q-Series' gigbag, too
rbbrnck 19.08.2025
...let's be frank: the one supplied with Ibanez Q-whatever is shamefully not on par with the guitar's quality or price segment – besides, it wouldn't hold your new headless buy ever safe, not even on the way home from any physical music shop you may have bought it at [sidenote: why should you, then, considering Thomann's superior reliability, competence, and fairness in sales policy?].

although not exactly advertised for it, tipped by @only for the lulz review (thank you!), i just took the risk and ordered one – delivered ten minutes ago – for easy carry-around, carry-along of my Q52 whenever the hardcase's overkill.

fact one: size-wise, Mooer Wing Bag fits Ibanez Q52 like a glove – literally.

fact two: nose-wise, Mooer Wing Bag luckily doesn't stink at all – which isn't exactly the norm with guitar bags and cases, these days, unfortunately.

fact three: fabric, zippers, padding and lining materials seem of (borderline) decent quality for the current price – not wow, but not puah either.

fact four: you can't have this lie on its side and keep your guitar as such – maybe it works with the original instrument it was conceived for, but Ibby Q52 (whose body's made with a really thin and lightweight woodplank) always inexorably falls on its face.

fact five: shoulder straps only allow for backpack-like wearing, no shoulder-bag-like – and while unfortunately quite common, these days, this prevents you from wearing your favourite gear backpack when you intend to take your guitar in this bag to a rehearsal or gig.

fact six: while shoulder straps seem to do their job (shape- and fabric-wise), their final sliding belts and clips are indeed below poverty threshold in quality – and, considering how straps aren't designed to be user-replaceable, it's these straps that will most probably sanction the gigbag's end-of-life (though hopefully as late as possible).

mind the step, please: there's nothing wrong with this gigbag, as it happens to be the only option available for Q-Series headless guitars, therefore the one to go for – i would have personally preferred to spend some extra twenty bucks to get its quality right, or twenty less to reflect its overall value correctly.

Great for listed guitars, slightly too small for other headless 8 strings
Hal Sinden 24.08.2024
This case is elegant, sleekly designed and seemingly rugged despite technically being a 'soft' case / gig bag.

However, while Thomann's support is exemplary and their shipping time (internationally) is wonderfully fast, this guitar bag is almost too tight a fit for a headless 8 string even slightly larger than the listed models intended for it. I'm using an Artist AG78V2BK and forcing it inside means the case is under tension and the optional padded sections (attached via velcro) can't be used.

Tolles Gigbag
Prog4Life 04.10.2023
