Mais frágil do que parece

Em primeiro contato, a gigbag parece incrível.
Ela é firme, oferece uma boa proteção e é de fato resistente a água.
Eu adoro a cor vermelha interna e os detalhes. Os bolsos extras
também são suficientes para mim.

Porém, a costura é um problema.
Quando você espera que as alças sejam reforçadas para aguentar o peso de uma guitarra, mais qualquer coisa que possa vir a colocar nos bolsos extras (como cabos, songbooks e cordas extras) é ai que a gigbag fala miseravelmente.

Com quatro dias de uso as costuras das alças de ombro começaram a ceder. Ambos os lados estão a se desfazer e não considero mais seguro utilizar ela nas costas, porque a qualquer momento ela vai soltar das alças e por minha guitarra ao chão.

Pedirei a troca por uma nova assim que voltar de viagem, porém me parece uma fraquesa no reforço das alças e não um problema com essa unidade.

Pelo preço eu esperava outras limitações e não um problema tão básico.

Comprei para a minha Jackson Soloist e fiquei muito bem servido. Muito bom o enchimento, os acabamentos sáo de topo, bastantes bolsos e no entanto tem uma "foot print" pequena. Ou seja não é um saco "puffy". Estou muito contente, especialmente depois de ter feito uma analise extensiva das relaçãoes Preço/Qualidade de vários sacos e ao ter optado por este as minhas expectativas nao foram defraudadas.

A great Gigbag

This gigbag is great and provide an incredible protection for your guitar.

The interior is great provides protection for the instrument with a thick padding, support for the neck (which is great) and extra padding for the headstock top and the bottom of the guitar.

It opens in a way you can take or insert the instrument safely. The zippers are good, do their work to open and close the bag easily and the don't seem to get in touch with the instrument.

It protects with nylon the parts like the bottom strap peg and the tuners on the headstock, avoiding to tear the interior of the bag (which happened to me on other gigbag).

The main pocket have space enough, but for a gig, it may be better to have more space, but I think they sell extra bags that can be attached to this model.

A great bag and does what is supposed to be done that is protect the instrument.

Has the build quality of a typical budget chinese product

Is on paper well designed with lot of practical features - except for the buckle on the flap over the front pocket, makes no sense at all - with good sturdy foam to offer plenty of protection for most situations.

But it is the build quality that let me down. Loose fit of the fabric, different things are fitted not straight or lob-sided (like front bag and one of reinforcements of the carrying handle), edge of the rubber protection on the bottom is ragged. Overall a quality you would not expect of an "A" brand like Gator. Might as well save some money and buy a budget branded gigbag in this case.

On top of that, Thomann decided to ship this bag folded in the smallest box possible. One of the positive things of this gigbag is the firm, almost softcase like foam, which does not let itself easily bended of folded. But thomann thought this would be a good idea and they needed a lot of tape too on the plastic bag that the gigbag came in. Result: irreversible dented foam (I did let it rest for a couple of days, but it stayed that way).
A very rare occasion Thomann did let me down in their service though…

So back it went and I will be looking out for something with better value for money.
