Effects PedalThe MXR Distortion was one of the first sensible-sounding Distortions in the early 70's and to this day sounds good for many types of sound.

But modern times will not make the MXR redundant, and so the MXR Distortion M116 Fullbore Metal is a (if required) metallic-sounding knallhartes Metal Distortion unit with which you can make guitar sounds glow.

At the heart of the pedal is the sweepable mid control. Here the lava frequency can be searched for and mercilessly boosted; but of course tamer frequencies can also be selected (lowering works as well). The Fullbore Metal is therefore also versatile in all kinds of healthy hardness.

Uma máquina indestrutível de Metal moderno e pesado. Utilizo há 5 anos e o pedal continua a performar como novo, sem ruídos e nenhum sinal de degradação do som ou do aspecto. Para quem procura o som de uma distorção pesada de alto ganho e com médios abafados este é o pedal ideal. Os controles de frequência de 3 bandas e o controlo da frequência dos médios permite ao utilizador maior precisão na definição do seu timbre. O noise gate embutido também é uma mais valia importante para quem precisa do noise gate apenas para conseguir os efeitos típicos do djent, pouco assim dinheiro e espaço na pedaleira.
O único contra seria talvez a falta de versatilidade. Este pedal serve apenas para uma função. Atingir aquele timbre típico do metal moderno, Djent, metalcore, etc.

A truly killer pedal!- MXR M116 Fullbore Metal

This pedal is a medal heads must have!
Features:
Noise Gate-The noise gate offers that tightness that you need at high volume/gain levels.
Mid scoop-Mids are often scooped when it come to metal, which is perfect because this pedal allows you to do just that.
3-band EQ-this enables you to fine tune your tone and create some amazing sounds
Gain-The super high is perfect for those punchy, killer metal sound it really sings at around 2 o'clock
Freq-The freq allows you to fine tune the mid range, either making it more aggressive or smoother
LED's-The pedal is equipped with one amazingly bright blue LED in the centre
A Green one for the Gate and a Red LED for the scoop button

Overall-this is an truly amazing pedal, with it's combination of super high gain, noise gate, and mid scoop it is perfect for metal guitarists!
I would highly recommend it.

Pros:
1) Lots of features - EQ, noise gate, scoop
2) Tons of gain - if that's your thing
3) Looks cool with its brushed metal surface

Cons:
1) It's hard to find a good tone out of it (still possible)
2) VERY bright, blinding blue LED - ended up putting a piece of black tape on it
3) Brushed surface looks cool, but doesn't feel very pleasant; overall its looks sturdy on the pictures, but it fact it's pretty light weight and feels a bit cheap
4) One knob's plastic cap fell off eventually

As I mentioned it in the headline, I ended up selling it. If you're into old school death metal sound, you'll like it however

This Pedal really allows you to be precise with the sound you want. Also what i hadn't noticed before purchase, is that there is a little button which basically feedback. Excellent if you're going for a heavier sound
