Very very bad smell

The rug has very good dimensions and a wonderful appearance.
But, ..... the anti slip material, that has been used to keep it from sliding on the floor, has an awfully bad smell. I've had it out on the balcony since I took it out, two days ago. Today I went to see if it has somehow lost its bad smell. Unfortunately, it hasn't lost it at all.
I'm afraid that if I put it inside a room, the room will have this bad smell and I won't be able to place my drums in it.
I would like to ask........Has anyone else noticed this bad smell in this rug or is it just mine?
Also, what is Thomann's opinion on this problem?

Bestens geeignet für kleine wie auch größere Sets! Ich bin eher der "Gelegenheitsdrummer" und bin auch dementsprechend ausgerüstet (weniger ist mehr) aber ein Drum Rug ist auch für mich unabdingbar.
Die Größe ist wie bereits gesagt für sämtliche Setgrößen geeignet, zu wie ich finde, einem guten Preis. Die Bass Drum und Ständer halten super, nichts verrutscht, bei allen Musikrichtungen von Folk bis schlagfesterem Metal.
Der einzige Makel: Frisch aus dem Karton ausgepackt, ist der Geruch etwas "eigenwillig." Plastik und Stoff vermischt eben. Aber hier gilt, einen Tag beim Balkon hinhängen und der Geruch ist a fuera.
Definitiv eine Empfehlung! Viel Spaß damit!
