A Vox-like sound with more gain and the versatility of two channels (the same source but with separate gain and EQ). I have never tried Brad Paisley's amp, but this preamp sounds great for lots of stuff (country, blues and rock). The phase inverter 0-watt-power-amp section is a great idea.

This is my first Synergy preamp module, and it's made a strong impression. While the clean channel offers genuinely interesting tones, the real magic happens at higher volumes. The overdrive responds dynamically to your touch, maintaining a wide range from gentle breakup to full saturation. Running a Tube Screamer or overdrive pedal into the front end adds a pleasing compression that only enhances the overall feel.
