Tech 21 OMG

Tried a bunch of distortion pedals before : boss ds-1, ds-2, ds-1 keeley modded. mt-2. carl martin plexitone, digitech, etc. This quite pricey compared to other alternatives, but nothing too much. In terms of performance here comes the "too much" thing. Infinite sustain, extra boost function that works great separately and cleans up nicely (although it is not very dynamic when cleaned up). Sounds like a hot rodded Marshall amp and works great with single coil guitars. The girth button comes really in handy when playing different amps. Although the sound is marketed as a modern take on a Marshal amp, in my ears it fits more in the 80s era since the sound gets a bit trebly at some settings (not in a bad way though). In my opinion, this pedal would be a perfect match for american style amplifiers. It may be a signature pedal but it is really versatile. Works also great before a speaker sim pedal. Thomann team provides excellent handling services as well.

J'ai acheté cette petite boite (qui fait la taille d'une micro pog EHX) en ayant beaucoup hésité.
En effet, les avis et vidéos sont vraiment très rares et vers chez moi impossible de mettre la main dessus.
Je me suis donc lancé et ne suis vraiment pas déçu.
Robuste, très précise, puissante et versatile cette pédale me va tout à fait.
Les switch sont très silencieux et ne font pas le clic insupportable des autres pédales.

attention cependant si vous recherchez un son vintage, elle ne le permet pas mais ce n'est que mon avis
elle sonne aussi bien direct dans une carte son que dans un ampli
Le boost est impressionnant il peut vous farie gagner énormément de db.
Franchement on sent que Kotzen a pris part au projet car cette disto est vraiment cool pour des guitaristes comme moi.
