An incredible combination of high-quality components and digital integration.

I use it mainly for vocals. When tracking, I usually set it to modern with a slow attack and a fast release with a reduction of 1 to 5 dB. The result is a beautifully controlled level with great detail. The compression is more transparent and makes the singers perform more confidently. When mixing, I often run the signal through the device again with the vintage option, which adds more saturation and allows the voice to sit better in the mix.
Something that pleasantly surprised me, a month ago, wes audio released a completely new interface for the plugin, which is much more intuitive and has a graphical, time-based representation of compression.

Overall, I am very happy with the product. The quality is top notch. The digital control saves a lot of time. And it sounds great.

The WesAudio ng76 is an absolute beast of a FET compressor. It delivers that classic punchy 1176-style tone-fast, aggressive, and full of character - while adding super handy modern features. The all-analog signal path sounds huge and warm, and the built-in digital recall makes sessions so much easier. I love being able to save and recall settings straight from the plugin. It’s powerful, flexible, and inspiring - easily one of my favorite pieces of gear in the studio.
