I use these to cover 6mm capsules (Primo EM258s) with no housing. It's a bit of a struggle to get them on in the first place but once there, they stay on. The little strings are meant to assist in pulling them on and giving indication of where the opening is, but they're not terribly effective.
They do a decent job of reducing wind interference but the price hurts a bit.
