I can not even begin to express how good this guitar is! I'm in canada, so it was a little more pricey for me, but compared to any Epiphone of this quality is still $400-$500 cheaper. Holy smokes! Right out of the box, finish is flawless! relief and and action is spot on. Even the intonation was perfect! All the electronics work perfect. Coil split is great. Jack is nice and snug. Grover tuners, tusq nut and STAINLESS STEEL frets! This blows any epiphone les paul out of the water. The Tesla pickups are great, nice and punchy/clear at the bridge, Nice articulate gain, middle position is actually useful for a change and in the middle position you can control the volume of each pickup to blend. Neck pickup is pure blues, nice and warm but not muddy at all. Great for metal, punk, rock and blues for sure. My only minor complaint is SLIGHT sharp frets, and when I say slight, I mean I'm not even going to bother filing them, not necessary at all. Body contours are great. Neck is a nice modern shape. Fretboard looks and feels great, and the frets aren't scratchy! People need to snag these up and thank you to the company for offering great affordable guitars. Not my first harley benton, but for sure the best thus far! And the cherry on top, the finish is actually a gold top finish, not the bronze type look that my SC 450 p90 has (which is also a fantastic guitar btw) this SC custom is a gibson style gold color. Not a single flaw. Great job guys and thank you!
