Discolouration due to chemical reaction:

All HERCULES guitar stands and wall mounts are equipped with soft foam supports to protect your instrument from damage. These supports are free of plasticisers and have shown no signs of reaction with many different lacquer finishes in long-term tests.

However, discolourations on sensitive lacquer surfaces (e.g. nitrocellulose) cannot be completely ruled out. We accept no liability in such cases.

In order to completely rule out damage of this type, cover parts that come into direct contact with the instrument with a soft, natural fibre cloth (cotton, silk, etc.). This way discolouration can be easily avoided.

Not to diminish the other brands, I wish I didn't spend much more money buying cheap stand after cheap stand. I'm so glad I bought these. Perfection! They are so stable, fell so premium, the rubber is excellent quality, they fold int a very small unit and with the extra of a nice "Hercules Yellow" bag. Don't spend your money and don't subject your precious instrument to something less quality. Invest a little more at first and you won't be sorry. Recommended all the way!

Small, Neat and ... relatively stable

Stands that 'hold' onto the neck just below the headstock are long, bulky items when folded. Even a simple folding 'A' frame stands take up more space than is available in your average accessories case.

This one folds up small and manages to strike a fairly good balance between sturdiness and portability. Heavier than your average spindly, folding stand but less bendy and wobbly.

Doesn't feel as secure as the electric bass / guitar models but still good because it's small.

I also have the electric bass / guitar models too and like that they are among the smallest available anywhere. They fold up so small they can fit in my cable bag for gigs. I don't like the simple, glued on foam pad that supports the back of the instrument, especially as the angle is too diagonal in my opinion but I have modified mine by fitting a rubber foot in its place -sourced from another guitar stand I had.
