It does the job and very well as far as I can tell

I used this converter to add a couple of analog exit to my presonus firestudio mobile. That interface has 2 analog main out, 2 digital out and a headphones out. I just needed to connect a spdif cable and it worked straight away. The audio quality seemed to me at the same level as the presonus. Bear in mind that my setup wasn't a professional level. My speaker are old and quite cheap M-audio, I don't have a sound treated room. For me it's very much a hobby. In this context spending thousands of euros for a DAC would be simply stupid. What I expect is that the sound is decent and I got that from a 35euros box.
At this price point I can't really find anything to complain about.

Using product at home for connecting Optical OUT from TV to Analog IN of HIFI amplifier.

I have bought new TV without good sound from TV speakers but with Digital/Optical OUT.
After that i started to search for some soundbar or home cinema solutions. I found it very expensive (those with good reviews) and beside that i have no so much space to install it. I was thinking how can I use my HiFi system but HiFi system has no Digital inputs. Finally i found this small DA converter and decided to buy.
Awesome, i am very satisfied with device. It working very good and does not have influence on sound quality.
Only disadvantage from my point of view is that device has separate power supply with adapter.
Since you have On/Off switch on device itself this is not a big problem.
Very satisfied so far.

I would just like to say that the Swissonic Converter works very well. Very easy to connect up, no configuration needed. We use it to connect our smart TV to our old Hifi system. Unfortunately, the power adapter failed after a few months but Thomann replaced it free of charge without any quibbles or need to post parts to them. Fantastic!

It works, both via ADAT and SPDIF but it's rather noise - not the best converter you could get, but it's ultra cheap. Don't expect to get anything extra but utility channels from this.

Still, for the price, fine, and i don't regret purchasing it.
