Good quality microphone package on a budget

I ordered the t.bone SC 400 + Popkiller package so I could record demos at home before going to the studio. This package was a great price and suited my needs at the time.

After using it for a few years now, I'm really impressed with the sound of the microphone. I thought I would only use it to get ideas/demos recorded, but a lot of the vocals I recorded with this mic ended up on my studio album! It's very versatile and it is a great microphone for a home studio if you're on a budget. It's also a good introduction to large diaphragm condenser microphones. I have used it for vocals, acoustic guitar, voice-overs, percussion and I'm pleased with the results.

I have only used this mic at home, so I'm not sure how well this would hold up in a touring situation. The build quality is good so it should survive the normal wear and tear.

A good mic overall. I would definitely recommend.

I've been using this for a while now and I'm very impressed. Compared to a Shure I was using for vocal recording, the sound quality is great - much warmer and more rounded. Very pleased with it. Delivery etc were excellent as always.

Wow; what a good value for the price ! It looks nice, it's well built, the sound is awesome . I use it to record vocals, acoustic guitars, and even reamping sometimes; the TBone always gives convincing results !
