The springs are now mounted on the base plate, with the subchassis resting on them rather than being suspended as in the past
A tensioned steel thread (on the axis motor pulley/platter spindle) prevents the sub-chassis from wobbling, even at start-up when the torque is highest, allowing only vertical movement – and without disturb the tonearm and stylus while they track the music in the record groove
The complex motor control system ensures a constant speed with exact synchronisation
